The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, formerly the Fort Worth Children's Museum, began with the ideas and work of the Council of Administrative Women in Education in 1939. The museum, chartered in 1941, was originally housed in a classroom of De Zavala Elementary School. In 1947 growth required a move to the old Harding home on Summit.. The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History has a rich history of community engagement for more than 75 years.

The Museum's permanent exhibitions include: DinoLabs & DinoDig, Energy Blast, Fort Worth Children's Museum, Innovation Studios and the Cattle Raisers Museum, a "museum within a museum". The Museum hosts a variety of world-class traveling exhibitions, as well. The Museum is also home to the Noble Planetarium, which allows you to see more than.. Specimens and artifacts from the Museum's teaching collection are featured. STEM Squad summer classes are for rising 1st - 4th graders. Each class is offered in the morning and afternoon, Monday through Thursday, from 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM AND from 12:30 PM - 3:00 PM. STEM Squad summer classes cost $230 per student and are non-refundable.
